My Dear Beck

Yours recd. I have been so over worked could not write you as fully & as often as I would like to— Alger expects to start west the 1st of July. And is in hopes of takeing two or three Boston men with him. George we have got to get some one with money into it. If Paxton and Creighton [2] would go in $50,000 will open up the the 25000 acre tract. after that it will be easy sailing. I can put Heckerts outfit to work And commence work but I cant carry the whole scheme I will help you all I can. But George I cant put up for Hymer-Cunningham Ryan & all— Now Cunningham. Ryan— & others who dont put up must fish   or cut bait. If this work is to be commenced— I cant start in & do it all— Hymer can be let out as Manager. If Paxton & Creighton object to him— Keep some one local to go up there & start things. A Mr. Hake & Bro [3] two good men with money wants to go into something they are at Sheridan I am sure they would like to go into this—

But if this is to commence this Summer some you and Alger will have to put your shoulder to the wheel. And call a meeting & reorganize. Those who cant ante drop out—

Hastly

Bill
