Buffalo Bill in Swansea.
New York Press.
Buffalo Bill's Wild West show recently visited the town of Swansea, in South Wales. [1] It remained there two days, causing an entire cessation of business. On the first day 28 000 persons witnessed the performance. Iron mines, coal mines, furnaces, rolling mills, stores, schools, churches—everything in the way of business, education and religion was suspended. The railroads ran "relief" and "duplicate" trains, as they are called there. Col Cody made a speech in which he said "I take off my hat to Swansea; this is the record attendance on my present tour."
