BUFFALO BILL REDIVIVUS.
BUFFALO BILL.
For the first time since the death of the Duke of Clarence, Royalty has attended a public ceremony. The occasion was the opening of the International Horticultural Exhibition, to which is attached Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show, the inauguration of which was performed by the Duke of Connaught, who was accompanied by the Duchess, the Duke of Abercorn, the Duke of Westminster, and other noblemen. Quoting from a contemporary: "The trees and hedges of the old English enclosures are set with characteristic style, while the geometrical flower beds of others, make a fair appearance, considering the unfavourable circumstances of these bleak May days. The scenic effect produced upon the large canvas devoted to the Long Walk at Windsor is a marvellously beautiful allusion, and whatever the weather may be there will be always flecks of sunshine upon the avenue of elms."
