The Directors2 want to know why construction for Aug was so much and no construction done— You should get expenses down out there. it wontwon't do. you must have a number of people on salary doing nothing. And the rest soldiering on the company. The directors ask me why the expenses are so high. I cantcan't answer them.

Will do all I can to get Jones3 out there with men who will buy—

Hope the placer4 will be a success— I am worn out took 24 hours to get here Two weeks now of long runs. I will be glad to get out there—
