<head type="sub">Rappresentazione NORD-AMERICANA</head>

<head type="sub">IL PROGRAMMA</head>

<head>Buffalo Bill's Wild West</head>
<head type="sub">A true representation of NORTH AMERICAN life</head>
<head type="sub">You are kindly requested carefully to read the following</head>
<head type="sub">PROGRAMME</head>

<p>No comparison can be drawn between the scenes portrayed by <hi rend="italic">Buffalo Bill's Wild West</hi> Company and mere equestrian or acrobatic displays, the merits of which depend solely on a degree of perfection attained by trial and error.</p>

<p>Our aim is to bring before the public the customs and way of life of the inhabitants of the West of the United States, reproducing the principal scenes and incidents that take place on the far plains of that region. Each member of this Company has been chosen from among his peers as an individual possessed of outstanding dexterity, courage, and sagacity. Whatever opinions may be formed by our spectators from a critical standpoint, we can assure you that each scene presented is a faithful reproduction, down to the tiniest detail, of the lives of the inhabitants of those territories.</p>

<p>All of the horses are descended from the Spanish breed imported into Mexico by Hernando Cort&#233;s and his comrades. All the equipment and contraptions have been used for many years for the same purpose as that for which they are now utilized. We consider that we are the first group in the world to have succeeded in bringing together, by dint of long experience, so many elements of originality and historical veracity.</p>

<p>Having won the approval of the press and the public of our country, and having received innumerable plaudits in London and Paris, we are now honored to present ourselves to the Italian public.</p>

17. FINAL SALUTE</head>
</div3>

<div3>

<ab>IMPORTANT NOTE. &#8212; Spectators are encouraged to imagine themselves as being physically present in the territory where the scenes and incidents depicted actually took place and to bear in mind that they are genuinely in the presence of persons who were really there at the time.</ab>

<ab>In providing the spectacle, the management is seeking to inform, educate, and entertain; its aim is to reproduce things that have gone forever and are now consigned to history. Not least among the interesting aspects of the spectacle is the presence of Col. W. F. CODY (BUFFALO BILL), whose past life is represented in each scene; he has been, in turn, a carrier of mails, a hunter of wild horses, a buffalo hunter, an Indian fighter, and Chief Scout for the U.S. Army. He may be regarded as the last of a breed of persons that has completely disappeared from the New World discovered by the immortal Italian CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS, in whose honor a Grand World Exposition is to be held in America in 1892 to celebrate the completion of the story begun by that illustrious explorer. </ab>
