<gap reason="sampling"/>

<p>Fort McPherson, Nebraska, 14. - Prof. Marsh and the Yale College exploring party arrived to-day, from the Niobavara river, where they have spent the last month in geological investigations. The trip was successful and very interesting discoveries were made. Many new extinct animals were found and among them fossil horses, camels, and rhinoceros. The party are all well, and start to-morrow for Fort Bridger, Wyoming, to explore the Utah mountain country.</p>
