E. Parkhurst Deed To Isaac Cody

This [?] made and Executed this 30th day of July Eighteen hundred & forty nine between Eleazer Parkhurst & Esther B. Parkhurst his wife of Scott County Iowa of the first part and Isaac Cody of the same county and state of the second part, Witnesseth that the said Eleazer Parkhurst and his wife Esther B. Parkhurst for and in consideration of the sum of Forty Dollars in hand paid by the party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and in consideration of certain Lots in the vacated part of the town of Parkhurst, county and state aforesaid. Do hereby grant, bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said Isaac Cody his heirs & assigns forever. The following Lots of land, "To wit," Lots No. One (1), Two (2), three (3), four (4), five (5) and six (6) in Block No. ten (10) together with all and singular the apportenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining thereunto. To Have and To Hold the above 212 described premises unto the said Isaac Cody his heirs & assigns forever. And the said Eleazer Parkhurst & his wife Esther B. Parkhurst the aforesaid premises unto said Isaac Cody his heirs & assigns against against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever Do will Warrant and forever Defend by these presents

In Witness whereof the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

This day personally appeared before me Dennis Barnes a Justice of the Peace in and for the said state and county Eleazer Parkhurst who is personally known to me and his wife Esther B. Parkhurst also personally known to me and the latter being [?] separately and apart from her said husband doth acknowledge the foregoing indenture to be their own act & free will
