I close here Saturday Nov 2d [3] — Busted. This is the worst place we have struck no one coming to this Fair. You must close down fast or if I cant get new blood [4] in we will be in an awful tight place— Do you appreciate what I mea[n] I will do my part but get down as easy on me as you possibly can this I have written you several times.

I will give you my route as near as I can. wire Nov. 6 & 7. Continental Hotel Philadelphia Pa— Salsburys Address till Nov 16th Grand Opera House Philadelphia Pa Better direct there. I will try and be with Geo Bleistein. Buffalo. Oct 9th then we start for you [5] —

Note 1: Buffalo Bill's Wild West performed in Atlanta, Georgia, from October 28 - November 2, 1895, during the run of The Cotton States and International Exposition, also known as the Atlanta Exposition. [back]

Note 2: The year is not inscribed by Cody but is 1895 as determined by the Routes List. [back]

Note 3: Buffalo Bill's Wild West closed the season on November 2nd. The run in Atlanta had been very unprofitable. [back]

Note 4: Cody writes that construction on the canal will need to be shut down if new investors are not found to keep the project going. [back]

Note 5: A hunt in northwest Wyoming, for which Beck was preparing, was planned following the close of the season. [back]
