June 24th 98 [1] My Dear Beck—

I hope everything will be settled at the meeting then this worry and hustle for money to pay our debts will be over. this can be done if we all put our shoulder to it— I hope the Co will decide to have the mill built. Nothing could benefit us more and what a boom a Mill would be to the store. I have had awful bad luck so for this season but will do my part. I presume that Co will want you to select the Mill & buy it while East as there is No time to loose.

Should Webster [2] be held responsable for bride. [3] He certainly excersized No judgement.

Mrs. Plol Polhamus [4] has sent $190

Let me hear whats done at meeting.
